Hi, I'm Bud. Let me please tell you a bit about myself. My earliest memories are around my Nan's piano at Banksia Broadway Burleigh Heads, singing for hours and hours at family get-togethers. I loved music and relentlessly scoured my Mum's old LP records, playing everything over and over e.g Beatles, Frankie Lane, Neil Diamond, Kris Kristoffesson, Neil Young, The Seekers, etc etc.

My life changed one day at the El Rancho Restaurant (later to become Bombay Rock) when I saw my first live band. I was hooked, I pleaded with Mum to take me with her to work at the Play Room – Gold Coast, the “Rock Central” at Tallebudgerra. She was married to the Manager so I got to see many famous old Aussie bands. Once at the tender age of ten, I was literally plucked from the dance floor onto the stage, I was given a Tamborine and made to sing. What a night, my fate was sealed. I can still remember the 1st song “Simple Simon Says” and the band was The Signs of Peace. If you guys are still around, give me a hoy! (Owe you big time). I found an old guitar and learnt my first 3 chords: C, D and G. I now know several more chords and have learned and forgotten many many songs.

Although I became a well paid concreter, I was always busking and playing at parties till one day a Publican asked me to fill in on a busy Friday night. All went well and many years, 4 albums, 6 bands, thousands of gigs (including a season at the NSW ski fields), over 200 original songs, I’m still at it.

Nowadays, however, I'm happy to be concentrating on my independent online career. I have excellent videos and songs on my website www.bud.com.au. I'm also the first artist (that I know of) in the world to be named after my website!!!

I have a monster PA system: 6 x 1000w Yamaha S115IV's. I do however, know how to use the volume knob discreetly to suit the occasion. I play a high quality Takamine cutaway acoustic guitar. I prefer to use wireless FM microphone and guitar units. No backing tracks. Strange but true. This allows me to slam dance through the crowd and stage dive off pool tables etc. If I had to describe my performance in one word, it would be enthusiastic and enthusiasm is always contagious as my audiences soon find out. Sometimes though, I prefer to just plug-in and use a mic on a stand.

So please, let’s arrange some gigs and let me have my way with your clientele. No body will be disappointed. I have enough original songs for 4 hours non-stop (sometimes I'll slip in the odd special cover). Why not visit my website BUD.COM.AU and listen to some songs and watch some videos.
